December 15-19, 2008

8th U.S.N.S.T.A. December 2007

Mission of the United States National Standards of Training Association

The U.S.N.S.T.A. brings together the best trainers from the worlds of law enforcement, corrections, military, protective services, and security to collaborate on the development of training that falls well below the accepted use of force standards currently and continually being established in all 50 states. Our goal is to make this training available to all forces protecting our communities and our homeland (be they police, military, or security) and to ultimately save lives.

Vision Statement

The U.S.N.S.T.A. will become the nation’s standard in force training that applies a credible response criterion to the magnitudes of aggressive and resistant conduct by:

 ·         Seeking out the best trainers, training systems, and training equipment

·         Holding all of our members and affiliates to the highest degree of excellence

·         Remaining at the forefront of technology and innovation

·         Finding, developing, and adopting new technologies and innovations that have applications in law enforcement, military, and security, but are currently under utilized or not utilized at all

·         Cultivating an environment where people are encouraged to work together and share their ideas and knowledge rather than compete against one another

·         Seeking out avenues to make our training services and expertise available to all forces protecting our communities and our homeland

·         Identifying and extending our training and expertise to other groups that have growing concerns for safety and security, such as emergency services and first response teams, public and private security agencies, and primary school educators

·         Never losing focus of who we are and what we do: training professionals striving to improve the safety and effectiveness of our nation’s protective forces so that they can better ensure the safety and security of all Americans
